Legion of Doom!!
(I was so stoked for this episode and was not disapointed)

The episode in general:
     Loved it. I thought it was good, nicely done, well shot and just what we wanted. More villain perspective episodes would be appreciated. Fans want to see what the villains do in their down time.

The Legion:
     It was great to see how Malcom was recruited and the look on Damian’s face when he finds out he was Ra’s is priceless. Their secret lair has the most wonderful weapons rack because no evil hideout is complete without one.
     Damian and Malcolm both don’t like being minions and yet bitch about who is the best minion. I love it. They do look like they are going to kiss at points though.
     The progression from infighting to working together is really nicely done, even if facilitated by Rip/Phil (it’s great that he messes with them even without his memories). Malcolm is a smart bunny, asking the right questions about Eo disappearing and needing them. His sensibility is a good counter to just how kill happy Damian is.
     As for Eobard, I loved his arc in this episode. It was interesting to see there being a really good reason for what he was doing and why he needed others. Nice to see the return of Hunter/Black Flash. Eobard being forced into being chill and accepting help was just awesome. Though his face for not using the SpeedForce was priceless, totally ‘does not compute’.
     It was great the Legion got their power struggle sorted out *hugs all round*. So Eobard is going to use the spear to resurrect Eddie and be reinstated in history.
     Oh and just how gleeful Eobard looks at wanting to reprogram
Rip’s brain is both terrifying and awesome. Willing to do anything to achieve his personal goals is something that they set up in the first season of the Flash and it does seem to be his overriding character trait. Ends justify the means and all that.

The Legends:
     The Legends team are smarter than usual this episode and I do hope that continues. The plot with Lily I didn’t really care for tbh. Also is there proof that she is an aberration caused by Stein and not just one of the many changes caused by Barry’s Flashpoint?

Problems:

• GIDEON who can read alternate timelines can’t see all possible speedsters? All speedsters they know about are dead? Maybe call Barry?
• The future vault is speedster proof? Eobard can’t just phase through the wall? Ok, whatever.

Ok, so I finally caught up on Legends of Tomorrow and wanted to put my thoughts down.

Raiders of the Lost Art

Finally finding out what happened to Rip was good. I like him as a character and wasn’t happy with him being seemingly replaced.

The ‘therapy’ with Mick and Stein was an appreciated advancement of Mick’s character. Him actually wanting/asking for help says a lot.

Enforcing Christianity as truth makes me uncomfortable. Specially as the DC universe has a plethora of Gods.

All the film references suddenly make sense when you realise George is Lucas. Considering that StarWars is owned by Disney who also owns Marvel, I find it interesting that they used Lucas for this. I’m presuming he gave his permission for this. All the little references, like Amaya talking about hope and the trash compactor were noticed and amusing.I did work out what was happening to the GeekBros straight away though. Though I appreciate the idea that entertainment media can inspire a person to their full potential.

Sara is still wonderful, from beginning to end she is an inspiration. And check out her arms. That woman is a fitness inspiration as well. I love her character and how she has stepped up to being the leader.

I still think that Snart is actually a time ghost style thing. I don’t think he is dead at all, but somewhere else. However, considering his last act was heroic, unless he regrets that, I don’t understand why he would be being mean to Mick and making him doubt himself.

Nice to see Malcolm and Darhk working together. They are totally Eo’s minions. I liked that Malcolm stole Amaya’s necklace as that was a clever move. I was a little surprised that Eo wasn’t going to do his own torturing, but then the next episode cleared up why for me. I honestly thought they would fall back on the simple breaking fingers and shouting stuff as torture, not actual properly thought out methods of information extraction. Still, not enough Eo in this episode.
